Accessibility Statement

At SmartRetry, we believe that everyone deserves equal access to financial tools and information. We are committed to making our website accessible to all users, including those with disabilities, and we continuously work to improve the experience for everyone.

Our Commitment

We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. The internationally recognized standard for web accessibility. These guidelines ensure that web content is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for all users, regardless of ability.

What We Have Done

As part of our ongoing accessibility efforts, we have implemented the following improvements across the SmartRetry website:

  • All interactive elements (buttons, toggles, menus) are fully keyboard accessible
  • Screen reader support through proper use of ARIA attributes and semantic HTML
  • Skip navigation link to allow keyboard users to bypass the header and jump directly to main content
  • Meaningful alternative text on all images
  • Sufficient color contrast across text and UI elements
  • Clear focus indicators for keyboard navigation
  • Language declaration on all pages to support screen readers
  • Form inputs are properly labeled for assistive technologies

Technical Approach

This website is built with accessibility in mind from the ground up. We use the following technologies to support conformance with WCAG 2.1:

  • Semantic HTML5 for meaningful document structure
  • WAI-ARIA roles, states, and properties where native HTML is insufficient
  • CSS for visual presentation, ensuring content remains accessible when styles are disabled
  • JavaScript enhancements that do not block access to core functionality

Known Limitations

While we aim for full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance, some areas are still being improved:

  • Some older content pages may not yet meet full AA conformance and are being reviewed
  • Certain third-party embedded tools or widgets may not fully conform to our accessibility standards, we work with our vendors to address these issues

Browser and Assistive Technology Support

We aim to support the widest range of browsers and assistive technologies, including:

  • Screen readers: NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver (macOS and iOS), TalkBack (Android)
  • Browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge (latest two versions)
  • Keyboard-only navigation
  • High contrast and forced color modes
